The 25th Intergem, a brilliant event, ended successfully. After the follow up has been finished this is the perfect moment to sit back and take a look at the most important facts. This year the numbers of visitors of the trade fair reached last yearís numbers on day three already and finally 3.600 visitors came to Idar-Oberstein.
The visitors were all important business travellers. The high customer loyalty of the exhibiting companies, all with an excellent reputation in their sector, was a key factor, responsible for a high visitor frequency in the new, spacious hall.
In a sector where often a single customer can make all the difference between a failure and a successful participation in the trade fair, the quality of the visitors is of utmost importance.

The spacious corridors offer plenty of room and the possibility to take a closer look at single exhibits without ever resulting in empty corridors. The new halls safety and security measures have also shown their reliability. Not an unimportant factor as the trade fair showed a trend towards more valuable gemstones.
This corresponds to the analysis of one of the discourser in his inaugural address. He thinks that many investors, financially strapped by the economic crisis, now start to realize that investments should be placed in objects pleasuring the owner: this means jewellery and gemstone objects. And those looking for an inspiration surely found more than one idea at the Intergem.
The athletic part of the fringe program was the traditional golf tournament: On fair Sunday, October 4th, at the picturesque golf course of the Golfclub Kirschweiler, the GZ-INTERGEM Golf Cup was played. All together 100 participants competed for the heavily sought after INTERGEM Cup.
